Today 17/04/2023, the first meeting of the newly formed council of Mahishashura Union Parishad was held on Monday at 11.00 pm. In the meeting UP Chairman Mr. Md Kausar Hossain took the chair and started the work of the meeting by thanking all present.




1. According to discussion schedule-1, Mr. Md. Solaiman, member of Ward No. 4 of Mahishashura Union Parishad recited recitation from Holy Quran. He wished good health and well-being to all of the newly formed council and prayed to Almighty Allah that the newly formed council can serve the public well.




2. While discussing in the context of agenda-2, the President said that the election of Mahishashura Union Parishad was held on 16/03/2023 AD. Md Kaushar Hossain has won the post of chairman in the election. According to government rules, the former chairman Mr. Enamul Haque handed over the responsibility of Mahishashura Union Parishad to the newly-elected chairman Mr. Md. Kauchar Hossain. During the handover, the former chairman explained the 8 (eight) fard charge list to the newly-elected chairman and promised to stand by him for any need of the council.

3. Following Agenda-3, the newly-elected UP Chairman and members introduced each other and exchanged skills. After giving the introduction, he expressed his determination to make Mahishashura Union Parishad an ideal Union Parishad by working together with transparency, accountability and spontaneous participation of the people.

4. While discussing in the context of Agenda-4, the President said that one day every week should be fixed for the sitting of the Gram Adalat and the day should be fixed according to which day the Gram Adalat would be sitting for the benefit of all. With the permission of the President, Mr. Md. Safi Uddin, member of Ward No. 2, said that it would be good for everyone if the village court sits on Thursday every week. All the members agreed on this and the decision to fix the village court day on Thursday every week was taken unanimously.

5. While discussing in the context of Agenda-5, the President said that the date should be fixed for the monthly meeting of Mahishashura Union Parishad. Mr. Md. Abul Hossain, a member of Ward No. 7, with the permission of the President, said that it would be better if the monthly meeting was fixed on the last Wednesday of every month. The matter was discussed in detail and the decision to fix the monthly meeting day on the last Wednesday of every month was taken unanimously.

6. While discussing in the context of agenda-6, the President said that 3 current accounts of Mahishashura Union Parishad in Sonali Bank Ltd., Court Building Branch, 1 account in Sonali Bank Ltd., Court Building Branch and 1 account in Agrani Bank Ltd., Babur Hat Branch are open. The names of the 5 accounts are Mahishashura Union Parishad Fund, Mahishashura UP Birth-Death Registration, Mahishashura Union Development Fund (1%), Chairman Mahishashura UP (LGSP-3) and Mahishashura Union Parishad Development Support Fund and the account numbers are respectively 171603300, 02000020, 171900100, 171900100 and 171940200. 171603300, 02000020, 171900100. 3 accounts were managed under the joint signature of UP Chairman Mr. Md. Enamul Haque and UP Secretary Sohel Mia. 171603300, 02000020, 171900100 Accounts 171603300, 02000020, 171900100 will be managed under the joint signature of UP Chairman Mr. Md Kaushar Hossain and UP Secretary Mr. Sohel Mia as the newly-elected chairman assumes responsibility. But according to the rules of LGSP-3 and Mahishashura Union Parishad Development Assistance Fund, accounts 171900100 and 171940200, apart from UP Chairman and UP Secretary, a female member should be included as the account manager. So one has to be selected from among the three reserved women members of UP. After detailed discussion on this matter, UP Chairman Mr. Md Kaushar Hossain, UP Secretary Mr. Sohel Mia and reserved women member Mr. Momtaz Begum jointly signed the decision to manage the account 2 unanimously.


As there was no other discussion in today's meeting, the President thanked everyone present
