Taking steps to rescue Khas land. 3. Khas Zamin One year/long term settlement. 4. Distribution of Khas land among the landless. 5. Implementation of housing, shelter, Adarshagram, Guchchagram projects. 6. Abandoned rivers/water bodies monitoring, demarcation and inventory updating. C. Levy and collection of land development tax: 1. Determining and collecting the arrears of land development tax of the people and organizations 2. Taking various steps to collect the claim and ensuring the collection. d. Rent certificate activities: 1. Duty of certificate officer. 2. Filing and collection of certificate cases against land development tax defaulters. 3. Taking other steps regarding the certificate. 4. Taking action regarding certificate cases (auction sale). E. Hat Bazaar: 1. Maintaining and updating the list of haat bazaar 2. Determining and Re-Determining the Periphery of Hat Market3. Demarcation of Toha Bazar and Chandina Vt. 4. Assistance in grant of lease of hut bazaar and notation of lease value. 5. Eviction of illegal occupiers/prevention of illegal occupation. 6. Preservation of the list of extinct bazaars. f. Assigned property: 1. Preservation of list including census list, copy of gazette related to vested property and list of vested cases. 2. Eviction of illegal occupation and grant of lease. 3. Leasing, collection and management of assigned properties. G. Water management: 1. Preparation of accurate and up-to-date list and details of all open and closed water bodies. 2. Payment of lease and payment of 20 acres of Jalmahal below. Civil litigation: 1. Filing of all types of civil/criminal suits for protection of government property. 2. Supervision of civil litigation related to government property, assigned, abandoned/acquired by other process. 3. In view of civil litigation, information is collected from the Union land office and sent to the office of the District Commissioner.
